Welcome! The University of Toronto's International Health
Program is proud to present the Annual Health and Human Rights Conference for 2008. The conference took place on January 18 - 19, 2008!
This year's theme is
centered on challenges and disparities in the healthcare
system for urban and rural localities. The conference will place
specific emphasis on access to healthcare in international
settings. Additionally, the conference will feature an
insightful Interdisciplinary Panel which will discuss approaches on
healthcare access and delivery.
Through lectures, case-studies, panel-discussions and focus groups, our conference explored topics that emphasize the growing need for sufficient access to healthcare in diverse settings.
The conference featured
an NGO Networking Fair that took place on Saturday, January 19th
2008, a multimedia presentation and showcased a screening
of the critically acclaimed "Salud!"
Thanks to everyone that attended the conference- your support and patience throughout is greatly appreciated! We hope you enjoyed the sessions and took advantage of the NGO Networking Fair. We look forward to having you join us again next year.
